Clearslip is a Shopify app that generates a PDF invoice for a single order, on request, from your store's order data.
What data we access
When you install Clearslip, Shopify grants us read-only access to your store's order information. We use this only to generate the invoice PDF you request - order number, date, line items, quantities, prices, and totals. If your store's account has granted Clearslip access to customer name and address, that information is used solely to populate the "Bill To" section of the invoice.
What we store
Your shop's Shopify domain, an encrypted OAuth access token, and an encrypted OAuth refresh token, so we can make API requests to Shopify on your behalf and keep that access working without asking you to reconnect. This is the only data kept in our database.
Your invoice template settings (business name, business address, tax ID, and footer text, if you choose to set them) - stored as a metafield on your own Shopify store under the "clearslip" namespace, not in our database. Like any Shopify metafield outside an app's own reserved namespace, it's visible to other apps installed on your store, not exclusive to Clearslip.
What we do not store
We do not store or retain order data, customer data, or generated invoice PDFs. Every invoice is generated fresh from your store's current data each time you request it, and is never saved on our servers.
We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Uninstalling and data deletion
When you uninstall Clearslip, your store's access credentials are deleted from our systems immediately. Shortly after, all remaining records for your shop are permanently deleted. You can also request deletion or a copy of any data we hold about your store at any time using the contact below - because we don't retain order or customer data, most such requests will have nothing to return, but we honor the request regardless.
